Project

The main goal of the project is to institute a doctoral school with double degree in Computer Science, in order to promote scientific and technological cooperation amongst European and Indian universities involved in the planned activities. The project envisages also the participation in training of small and medium enterprises in the interested areas.

The project will train doctoral students with high level of technological expertise at the international level, which will enable their rapid induction in high positions in industry and research centres, facilitating the rapid transfer of know-how and technological innovation from academia to business.

The objective of the project is three-fold:

strengthening ties between Italian and Indian partners and between Italian and European partners;
building an international doctorate of excellence which can benefit from the technological skills and research of the partners involved in the project and train doctoral students in advanced sectors of Computer Science;
allowing rapid technology transfer and immediate inclusion in the industries of doctoral students, also through the identification of shared strategies with industry.

The project activities focus on the exchange of post-graduates and experts, seminars, and conferences. In order to disseminate the results of the project a website has been developed.

The people eligible for the project are:
- experts and researchers from the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at the universities and institutes involved in the project;
- students in doctoral courses in Computer Science at sites belonging to the project, and the graduate students in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Udine.
- technical and administrative staff.

The target groups of the project are academics, research workers and post-graduates in Computer Science.

The duration of the project is four years.
